The AELTE 2023 2nd Conference was organized with the cooperation of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University School of Foreign Languages, Translation Application and Research Center and English Language Teacher Educators Association (AELTE/INOED) on October 13-14, 2023. The theme of the conference was “Digital Era in Foreign Language Education.”
Papers presented in The AELTE 2023 2nd Conference were made both face-to-face and online in concurrent sessions.
The AELTE 2023 2nd Conference was successfully completed with a total submission of 101 papers at national and international levels. A total of 66 national participants, including 1 keynote speaker from a distinguished university of our country, 1 workshop, 7 online and 35 face-to-face oral presentations, contributed to the conference.In addition, the conference attracted great interest at the international level, too. A total of 71 international presentations, including 3 distinguished keynote speakers, 2 Workshops, 40 online and 11 face-to-face oral presentations, took part in The AELTE 2023 2nd Conference program. Totally 101 presentations made in the conference. 57 of the presentations were international, whereas 44 were made by national researchers.
INOED President and Selçuk University Faculty of Letters English Language and Literature Department Head Prof. Dr. Arif SARIÇOBAN made the opening speech of the conference.In addition to the papers presented in the conference, John R. Silver, English Education Programs Coordinator of the RELO Office in the American Embassy in Ankara, Prof. Dr. Dinçay Köksal from Çanakkale 18 Mart University, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Mirici from Hacettepe University, Seneca Ryan Teacher Trainer, from USA Belonging in American Education: Approaches to Promoting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Prof. Dr. Christopher Cairney from Middle Georgia State University Strengthening Marginal Languages through Digital Language Education were invited to the conference as keynote/invited speakers.
